MASTER PEDRO SAUER
Professor Pedro Sauer is a 8th Degree Coral Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, awarded his black belt in 1985 by Grandmaster Helio Gracie and Master Rickson Gracie. He spent years developing his skill and understanding at the legendary Gracie Humaitá Academy in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro—one of the most influential training grounds in jiu jitsu history.
Much of Professor Sauer’s jiu jitsu is rooted in the precise, pressure-efficient style passed down from Rickson Gracie, widely regarded as one of the most technical martial artists of all time. As one of Rickson’s most dedicated and technical students, Pedro Sauer embodies the principle of “invisible jiu jitsu,” where timing, leverage, and connection take precedence over strength and speed.
Named “Best of the Best Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Instructor” by the ADCC, Professor Sauer is recognized worldwide for his exceptional ability to break down and teach the most refined techniques with clarity and depth. His teaching reflects a deep respect for the philosophy of jiu jitsu—humility, patience, and efficiency.
